This week, staff from membership development and marketing attended H.D. Woodson High School's Academy of Finance speed networking event in Washington, DC to speak with students on our individual career choices and paths and the opportunities available within the finance and credit union sector.
In three-minute turns students rotated through tables to ask questions on job roles, advice on deciding a career, what educational or employment backgrounds led to our positions, where we see ourselves in the future, and more.
While speaking with students on our core credit union philosophy of "People Helping People" and our Foundation's mission towards empowerment through financial literacy and education we shared materials such as college & career readiness workbooks, Banzai! financial education, and information on the credit union difference.
