The beloved annual bipartisan tradition, the Congressional Baseball Game, continued last night, bringing together both sides of the aisle for a day of sport, friendship, and philanthropy. Despite the threats of rain and thundering clouds, the skies cleared just in time for the gates to open and welcome a massive crowd to Nationals Park. With over 30,000 tickets sold this year, the game set another fund-raising record for the second year at $3.2 million raised through the Congressional Sports for Charity.
