We can all agree that budgeting is crucial for one's success, no matter what stage of life they are in. Learning this at such a young age can set up the foundation for a successful financial future. Our USSFCU team was part of Jackson-Reed High School's Reality Fair, were students initiated the day by choosing a career. Based on their career, they had a set monthly income and needed to make real-life decisions such as transportation, food, housing, banking, bills and paying credit card debt. While stopping by the different booths, students would receive an unexpected life scenario such as getting married and having kids. Life gets real very quickly but if you have a secure financial institution such as the United States Senate Federal Credit Union, your financial goals can become a reality!
